Best Bedroom Games for Couples – Detailed Review with Examples

My husband and I were given a game called 'Love Battleship' as an anniversary gift from our friends. They said that it was the best part of their weekend getaway, so they knew we’d love to try it. And they were right. It was great. It was so great that we decided to get more bedroom games. Each time we got a new game, we compared it to the others, and we had so much fun doing it..

So, why am I writing this review? After trying several games, I've come to realize that bedroom games for couples are an excellent way to maintain a strong, healthy, and passionate intimate relationship. That's why I'm sharing my comparison of these games with the world. I hope my reviews will assist other couples in making their weekend getaways as unforgettable as ours. Additionally, this review can serve as the perfect guide for purchasing bedroom games for friends. I hate thinking about what to gift people, so I have decided I will give my friends adult games until I run out of bedroom games… or friends.

Is it weird to give your friends these games as a gift? In my opinion, not at all. My husband and I were really happy to receive such a gift. In fact, my husband said that it was probably the best gift ever.

Currently, we have tried six bedroom games for couples, which we will review below. We are a married, loving couple in our late thirties with two preschool-aged children. We have been together for more than ten years.

Of course, all of my reviews are subjective. Maybe I would have had a different opinion fifteen years ago, and maybe I will have different thoughts fifteen years from now. Even if I have more criticism for some games than others, they are still good. A bad bedroom game is still good because playing a bad game is one hundred times better than spending the night watching TV. :D

Six Amazing Bedroom Board Games for Your Date Night!

This review is written in the order of when we got our games, starting with 'Love Battleship' and finishing with 'XXXopoly,' the newest game in our collection (but be sure, it’s the newest for now—we’ll be adding to our collection). Let’s start with the overall numerical score and continue with a more detailed review of each game.

Comparison chart for all 6 games

Love Battleship

This was our first and definitely the best game. It’s easy to understand and simple to play. The activity cards show beautiful and clear illustrations so you can concentrate on the game and your partner rather than on reading the rules and cards.

The best thing about this game is that the flow is really natural and arousing. It’s slow enough to build anticipation but fast enough that it doesn’t get boring. Plus, it’s made to be equally enjoyable for both men and women. The first time we played during our anniversary weekend getaway made the night feel like another honeymoon. Since then, we have played it several times, and it is always worth it.

The only drawback is that the box could be sturdier. However, that’s not a big deal.

Pros

  • Nice illustrations on activity cards
  • Definitely made for both female and male pleasure
  • Game flow has the perfect amount of foreplay

Cons

  • Packaging box could be more firm

Sex Stack

I have a feeling this game was made by a man—and that is not meant as a compliment. Although the activities are for both males and females, the activities for female pleasure are likely more enjoyable for the male to perform and are not activities that females would actually enjoy. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad, but it could be better. One good thing about this game is that there are a lot of activities.

Although it’s definitely not the worstgame, the idea of erotic Jenga could be improved. If it was improved, it wouldbe a better game. :)

Pros

  • Many activities
  • Nice wooden blocks

Cons

  • Clumsy game flow
  • Many odd activities and vulgar language

Nookii

This game is a bit girly but has a nice design. It includes a silk scarf that can be used in many fun ways . This game also includes a useless ‘Do not disturb’ door sign ‘to ensure privacy during play.’ I just imagine putting it on our door handle while our preschoolers are playing in the next room. :D

However, it's important to note that this game isn't an actual game but rather a series of activities performed one after another. And it’s vanilla—like the blandest vanilla there is.

Pros

  • Includesa nice silk scarf

Cons

  • No real game, just foreplay activities to perform
  • Could be too vanilla for both men and women

Monogamy

Although it has a lot of activities that could make it playable many times, it will most likely be enough to only play once.

This game includes spicy fantasies, which is different from the other bedroom games for couples and is a worthwhile addition. However, the drawback is that those fantasies are not really arousing. It feels like they are taken from an ‘80s porn.

Pros

  • A lot of activities
  • Includes questions and fantasies

Cons

  • Ugly design
  • Boring playing flow
  • Many of activities and fantasies are stereotypical and not arousing

"Endless nights of amazing..." game

This game is pretty similar to Monogamy but slightly better, in ouropinion. I hate reading and trying to figure out activities while sitting nakedor in my lingerie, so it’s nice that these activities are illustrated. However, some parts of the activities are hard to perform.

A lot of activities overlap on different cards, and I don’t see thereason for it from the game perspective. The author was probably just out ofideas. :D

It says there are 13 activities, but I say there are just two.

The biggest drawback of all is that the illustrations are mostly penetrativeposes. I would not even call them activities, just poses. Plus, there are onlytwo oral poses for men, two for women, and one with 69. The game is definitelynot designed with the pleasure of a woman in mind.

Pros

  • Activities designed with illustrations
  • Includes dice with erotic activities

Cons

  • Most activities include penetrative poses
  • Designed mostly for men
  • The game flow makes you “take off a piece of your clothes,” “make a romantic improvement” like lighting a candle, and eat and drink ridiculously often

XXXopoly

‘XXXopoly’ is a good game, but it could be better. I didn’t like that the game is designed in a way that you might start with penetrative activities. Maybe at 18 years old, this would work, but I doubt it. The idea of the game seems nice, but foreplay should come before, not after play. That’s why it’s called foreplay!

The design is pretty bad. It feels like it’s designed for those dark shops in basements without windows—it’s all black and red. There is also wannabe witty copywriting. For example, ‘Bank’ is called ‘Sperm Bank,’ and ‘Go field’ is called ‘Orgasm field.’ To me, it seems like high school-level jokes instead of witty writing.

Pros

  • Nice gaming effect (if you like Monopoly)
  • Good size and sturdy packaging

Cons

  • Game flow is really inappropriate; there is a chance you’ll start with penetrative activities and have foreplay at the end of the game
  • Of course, this is subjective, but the design is really ugly

There are good bedroom games for couples and there are even better bedroom games, but all of them brought some fun to our date nights. Even the worst of these games is a thousand times better than spending date night watching some stupid TV show. And it will be a thousand times better gift for any husband compared to a crappy note listing “100 reasons why I love you.”

Which bedroom game should you choose? Try all of them. :) If you’re seriously interested, I hope my review will help you see different aspects of all of the games and choose the best ones for you.

Here's a detailed overview of each game in each of the review categories:

Love Battleship:

  • Overall game flow (and playing time) – It’s the best of the games we have tried. It starts with foreplay and mild activities while slowly going toward more intimate activities and poses.
  • Easy to understand – It’s based on the classic Battleship game, so the idea is simple. It includes easy-to-understand rules and illustrations.
  • Design – The best thing about its design is the illustrations of intimate activities and poses.
  • Packaging – The box could be a bit sturdier. It is small enough to easily take with you on a trip.
  • Giftable – We got it as an anniversary gift, and my husband said it’s the best gift ever.

Sex Stack:

  • Overall game flow (and playing time) – It could be better. Activities are not gradual. In the first turn you could get an oral activity while the next could be some soft foreplay.
  • On hardcore cards, there are activities with penetration for ten and 25 seconds. It doesn’t make sense at all. The game wasn’t very exciting, so my husband didn’t have an erection for the whole game (I am not sure if any man over 20 years old would for any game). This made some activities not easy to perform, and it made the whole game flow clumsy.
  • Easy to understand – Overall game rules are easy to understand, however, it is a little confusing. For example, there are different colored activity cards, but it’s not clear which color you should use when.
  • Design – Not the best, but I have definitely seen worse designed games.
  • Packaging – It's good—sturdy enough but not excessively large or empty in the middle of the box.
  • Giftable – The text is quite vulgar, so you cannot give it to all couples. However, the wooden blocks can be used to play regular “Jenga” if the couple will not play the erotic version.

Nookii:

  • Overall game flow (and playing time) – A bit boring because there is no real game. You just roll the dice to determine how long you will perform the activity.
  • Easy to understand – Since there is no real game, it shouldn’t be hard to understand the rules. Yet, it still was difficult. There are cards on three levels (mmm, ooh, and aah), but I couldn’t understand if you have to play each card once or multiple times. I’m not sure if there are rules not clear or it’s just me being clueless.
  • Design – Pretty nice. It could be a bit girly as a gift for husband.
  • Packaging – The box could be smaller and more compact. However, it's sturdy and will probably last for a long time.
  • Giftable – Even if it’s too boring for you, it’s okay to give it as a gift for a couple who you think is vanilla or you are not sure about.

Monogamy:

  • Overall game flow (and playing time) – Too much of the game board includes drinking and eating. It makes it more of a food game rather than a bedroom game for couples.
  • Easy to understand – Although you have to delve into the rules to understand, it’s pretty straightforward.
  • Design – My eyes are bleeding while looking at it.
  • Packaging – Why are they making such big boxes?! It’s so big that it’s hard to find a place to store it, especially if you have kids at home. We should give it to our neighbors to store it. :D (Thank goodness we have good friends in the neighborhood). Although the box is sturdy, it’s too big to slip into luggage for a weekend getaway.
  • Giftable – Taking into consideration the ugly design and odd activities, it qualifies as a funny gift rather than a cool gift for a couple.

"Endless nights of amazing..." game:

  • Overall game flow (and playing time) – During the game, you are building the “fantasy.” It’s a nice idea, but the drawback is that it consists only of penetrative poses. As a woman, it's important to receive different stimulation, including oral, clitoral, etc. But still, the biggest drawback is how the game board activities are designed—again, it’s more like an eating and drinking game. In this game, you have to take off your clothes so many times that it’s a good idea to wear layers of winter clothes. And when you land on a candle symbol, you have to “make a romantic improvement.” You will have to do this so many times, you will most likely run out of ideas. With all the time you’ll spend thinking of new romantic improvements, you could have renovated your whole bedroom!
  • Easy to understand – Pretty easy to understand.
  • Design – It could win the award for the ugliest design ever. Okay, maybe the second ugliest if Monogamy is also in the running.
  • However, the activities are illustrated, and that is a huge plus! They’re not very beautiful illustrations, but it’s still better than just written descriptions.
  • Packaging – The same story as with “Monogamy”.
  • Giftable – It’s better than Monogamy, but I still prefer a better designed game with better playing flow. Although the ridiculously big box may give the impression that it’s a huge gift.

XXXopoly:

  • Overall game flow (and playing time) – It’s a really nice idea, we really liked it. But again, why did they design the game in a such way that it could start with 15 seconds of penetrative sex, then foreplay, and then something that requires him to be hard and me to be wet again? It doesn’t work that way.
  • Easy to understand – It is based on the classic Monopoly rules, board, and design. Rules are precisely described, though you have to delve into them to catch all the details.
  • Design – Another call from the ‘90s.
  • Packaging – Good size, sturdy, and keeps stuff organized.
  • Giftable – It’s a good gift. It could be even better if it had a better playing setting.

P.S.  Creators of bedroom games for couples can send me games if you want them to be included in this review. Contact me at olivia@letsreview.com.  It doesn’t matter if I bought the game myself, received it as a gift from friends, or if a creator sends it to me, my review will not change. I am doing this purely for fun, not for any benefits.
